Description

  • Own client account P&L, including revenue, consulting costs, forecasted margin, and actual margin.
  • Lead account expansion efforts by identifying, developing, and executing growth opportunities.
  • Develop and manage the strategic account roadmap to guide long-term client success.
  • Lead commercial engagement activities, including statements of work, change orders, and contract renewals.
  • Build trusted client relationships and serve as the primary advocate and coach for customer stakeholders.
  • Learn the client’s business, objectives, environment, and challenges to provide consultative support.
  • Manage regular stakeholder communications, progress updates, and executive-level discussions.
  • Oversee project initiation, planning, dependencies, scope, risks, issues, and change requests.
  • Lead meetings efficiently and ensure clear outcomes, actions, and follow-through.
  • Manage internal team communication and potentially direct reports, supporting staff growth and development.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in a hands-on, client-facing role managing large-scale, complex projects in a professional services environment.
  • Demonstrated account management experience with P&L ownership, forecasting, and commercial negotiations.
  • Proven ability to grow accounts by identifying and developing new opportunities.
  • At least 5 years of team or employee career management experience.
  • Experience working with product companies and operating both strategically and in the weeds.
  • Strong background in organizational change management and guiding clients through transformation.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to communicate through illustrations, words, or diagrams.
  • Comfort working with minimal structure and a proactive, change-oriented mindset.
  • Experience with agile disciplines, software development methodologies, and agile delivery tools.
  • CSM, PMP, or other relevant project and product management certifications or training preferred.
