Description

  • Drive new business growth for eClinical and clinical informatics software solutions across pharmaceutical, biotech, and CRO accounts.
  • Generate opportunities through strategic outreach, networking, market mapping, referrals, conferences, and targeted account penetration.
  • Develop and execute sales strategies to build pipeline, advance opportunities, and close revenue-generating deals.
  • Build relationships with decision-makers, influencers, and budget owners across sponsor and CRO organizations.
  • Lead discovery conversations to understand customer pain points, business drivers, technology gaps, and operational needs.
  • Deliver presentations and value-based solution discussions to senior and executive stakeholders.
  • Articulate competitive differentiation against other market players.
  • Partner with internal subject matter experts, product teams, operations, marketing, and leadership to shape client strategy and win business.
  • Lead or support proposals, RFP responses, pricing discussions, and contract negotiations.
  • Maintain disciplined opportunity management, accurate forecasting, and awareness of market and competitor activity.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, technology, or a related field; an advanced degree is a plus.
  • Typically 5+ years of relevant business development or sales experience for Manager-level roles.
  • Typically 8+ years of relevant business development or sales experience for Senior Manager-level roles with a track record of independently leading and closing strategic opportunities.
  • Proven success selling eClinical, clinical informatics, clinical technology, SaaS, or related solutions to pharmaceutical, biotech, and/or CRO clients.
  • Strong understanding of the clinical development ecosystem and related technologies.
  • In-depth knowledge of industry offerings and competitors such as Medidata, Veeva, Medpace, and similar solution providers.
  • Demonstrated ability to prospect, generate pipeline, manage complex sales cycles, and win new business.
  • Excellent presentation, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills with strong executive presence.
  • Experience using CRM tools and managing pipeline and forecast reporting.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Experience selling solutions related to EDC, RTSM, eCOA/ePRO, CTMS, eTMF, safety, data integration, analytics, data review, or SDTM/ADaM/TLF automation is preferred.
  • Familiarity with clinical operations, biometrics, clinical data management, regulatory, and medical workflows is preferred.
  • Experience working in a fast-growing, entrepreneurial environment is preferred.
  • An established network in the pharmaceutical, biotech, or CRO market is preferred.
