Description

Design, code, test, and optimize high-performance Go services that support USPS shipping at scale.
Help refactor legacy systems and design cloud-native services for migration to Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, and related technologies.
Collaborate with product managers and engineers to turn product ideas into robust technical architecture.
Participate in peer code reviews and mentor teammates on modern Go practices, including gRPC, microservices patterns, and performance tuning.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in high-throughput, low-latency environments without downtime.
Create clear technical documentation to support long-term maintainability and knowledge transfer.
Improve system speed, scalability, reliability, and developer experience through continuous technical enhancements.
Build and run automated unit, integration, and performance tests to increase release confidence.
Use Git and other version control tools to manage distributed development workflows.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree required.
8+ years of software development experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent related work experience.
Proven experience designing, coding, testing, and debugging software applications.
Strong proficiency in Go; experience with Python, C++, or similar languages is a plus.
Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design principles.
Experience with backend frameworks and APIs; familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular is a plus.
Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling concepts.
Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
Must be authorized to work in the United States and based in the United States.
