Description

  • Design, code, test, and optimize high-performance Go services that support USPS shipping at scale.
  • Help refactor legacy systems and design cloud-native services for migration to Azure, Kubernetes, Kafka, and related technologies.
  • Collaborate with product managers and engineers to turn product ideas into robust technical architecture.
  • Participate in peer code reviews and mentor teammates on modern Go practices, including gRPC, microservices patterns, and performance tuning.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in high-throughput, low-latency environments without downtime.
  • Create clear technical documentation to support long-term maintainability and knowledge transfer.
  • Improve system speed, scalability, reliability, and developer experience through continuous technical enhancements.
  • Build and run automated unit, integration, and performance tests to increase release confidence.
  • Use Git and other version control tools to manage distributed development workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • 8+ years of software development experience, or a master’s degree with 6+ years of experience, or equivalent related work experience.
  • Proven experience designing, coding, testing, and debugging software applications.
  • Strong proficiency in Go; experience with Python, C++, or similar languages is a plus.
  • Experience with Agile or Scrum methodologies and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
  • Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and design principles.
  • Experience with backend frameworks and APIs; familiarity with front-end frameworks such as React or Angular is a plus.
  • Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and data modeling concepts.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States and based in the United States.
