Description

  • Develop a marketing strategy for Indonesia to grow awareness, brand love, and user acquisition.
  • Hire and lead agencies or contractors to execute the marketing plan.
  • Run integrated campaigns across social media, partnerships, brand, acquisition, and PR.
  • Serve as a local spokesperson and manage speaking opportunities for yourself and relevant executives in Indonesia.
  • Analyze the performance of local marketing efforts and adjust the plan based on results.
  • Partner with Marketing and Product teams to shape localized messaging and positioning for launches.
  • Work closely with regional and global stakeholders across Southeast Asia, Pittsburgh, New York, and other markets to develop creative, relevant tactics.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of consumer marketing experience with a strong focus on social media and growth marketing.
  • Experience conceiving, developing, and leading marketing initiatives end to end.
  • Deep understanding of Indonesian consumers, culture, and current social media trends.
  • Track record of achieving strong results with limited budgets and creative ideas.
  • Strong writing and storytelling skills for customer-centric narratives.
  • Experience working on a remote team and building effective relationships with HQ stakeholders.
  • Proficient English speaking and writing skills.
  • Experience with mobile apps and subscription services is preferred.
  • Experience successfully scaling international brands in Indonesia is preferred.
  • Passion for Duolingo’s mission to make high-quality language learning accessible to everyone is preferred.
