Description

Administer Fabric tenants, capacities, workspaces, and the OneLake ecosystem, optimizing for performance, reliability, and cost.
Manage Power BI tenant settings, workspaces, gateways, and dataset/semantic model refresh processes.
Enforce governance standards for content sprawl, certified content, and sharing practices.
Build and enforce security and access controls through Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and least-privilege principles.
Apply data governance controls such as sensitivity labels and DLP using Microsoft Purview.
Run regular access and capacity audits.
Automate platform operations and support CI/CD for Fabric and Power BI assets using REST APIs, PowerShell, and Power Automate.
Build and maintain secure data integration pipelines from engineering/product databases, third-party APIs, and other sources into the centralized lakehouse.
Own the data access layer for BI tools and AI data agents, ensuring secure, role-based, auditable access.
Partner with IT Security and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical specifications, data models, and pipeline designs.

Requirements

5+ years administering Microsoft data and analytics platforms, with hands-on ownership of Fabric and/or Power BI in production.
Strong knowledge of Fabric tenant and capacity administration, workspace governance, and OneLake.
Experience building data integration pipelines from diverse source systems, including operational databases and third-party APIs.
Experience with Microsoft Entra ID, RBAC, and least-privilege access.
Solid understanding of data governance and security best practices, including encryption, data classification, DLP, and auditing.
Experience with Microsoft Purview is preferred.
PowerShell and REST API scripting/automation experience.
Ability to work independently and translate business requirements and technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
Background check required as a condition of employment.
