Description

  • Design and ship production data pipelines on Databricks using medallion architecture and Data Vault 2.0 patterns.
  • Build and harden curated and presentation layers that support product reporting and analytics use cases.
  • Resolve identities across CRM, Fundraising, and Volunteer systems to create trustworthy unified records.
  • Partner on change data capture and near-real-time data movement to deliver fresher signals.
  • Integrate trusted external partner data through clean, secure, and observable pipelines.
  • Extend observability and lifecycle tooling into ETL to detect failures before customers are impacted.
  • Collaborate with AI, ML, product, and platform engineers to deliver data in the right shape at the right time.
  • Use AI tools daily for pipeline development, schema design, code review, and problem-solving.
  • Raise engineering standards through testing, idempotency, documentation, security, and CI/CD practices.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience building production data pipelines on a modern lakehouse or warehouse.
  • Databricks with Unity Catalog strongly preferred; Snowflake, BigQuery, or equivalent experience also considered.
  • Experience with identity resolution, entity matching, deduplication, or golden record work across systems.
  • Strong SQL and strong Python, or Scala, with PySpark as a plus.
  • Working knowledge of dimensional modeling and/or Data Vault 2.0.
  • Experience operating production pipelines with monitoring, alerting, and robust error handling.
  • Exposure to streaming and CDC concepts for near-real-time data movement.
  • Hands-on daily use of AI development tools such as Claude Code or Cursor.
  • Experience working with data scientists, ML engineers, or applied AI teams.
  • Awareness of security and data residency requirements.
  • Nice to have: dbt or other transformation frameworks, AWS, observability tools such as Honeycomb, OpenTelemetry, or MLflow, multi-tenant SaaS data experience, or nonprofit/fundraising/CRM data background.
