Description

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the CHRO and executive leadership on talent, leadership capability, organizational effectiveness, and talent risks.
  • Develop and execute a multi-year talent development and leadership strategy aligned with the university’s strategic plan.
  • Build and enhance the internal coaching function to support leader growth and high-performing teams.
  • Assess organizational capability and future skill needs and create scalable development strategies to close critical gaps.
  • Design and implement leadership development programs for emerging, mid-level, senior, and executive leaders.
  • Support executive and critical-role succession planning and partner on individualized development plans for high-potential candidates.
  • Lead the development of the competency model framework that underpins professional development efforts across the university.
  • Oversee the design and delivery of enterprise learning, onboarding, technical, and professional development programs.
  • Partner with HR and university leaders to diagnose organizational issues and implement targeted interventions that improve engagement, onboarding, and retention.
  • Lead vendor selection, due diligence, contract negotiations, and team performance management for OTD staff.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree is required.
  • 12+ years of training and development experience is required.
  • 7+ years of leadership experience is required.
  • Advanced education in adult learning methodologies and training & development is required.
  • Advanced experience in change management, e-learning strategies, and facilitation is required.
  • Certifications in change management and DiSC are strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience overseeing learning and development teams with a track record of fostering growth and high performance.
  • Experience leading large-scale change initiatives and/or organizational transformations.
  • Prior experience developing function-wide or organization-wide training strategies.
  • Prior experience directing, implementing, and maintaining technology-based training or distance learning programs for a geographically dispersed workforce is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in higher education is preferred.
  • Experience working in a technology-driven enterprise is preferred.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, project management skills, leadership skills, and team-building skills.
  • Solid working knowledge of instructional design and adult learning.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word and other Microsoft Office applications.

Benefits

  • Remote, USA work location.
  • $140,000 - $175,000 annual salary.
  • Travel is seldom required.
