Description

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services for secure healthcare platforms.
  • Own features end-to-end from design through production delivery.
  • Build and improve backend functionality to support scalability, stability, and performance.
  • Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders in an Agile cross-functional team.
  • Ensure product quality through automated testing, code reviews, and CI/CD practices.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues to maintain stable and efficient system performance.
  • Contribute to technical discussions and architectural decisions aligned with product goals.
  • Share knowledge, mentor engineers, and help improve team practices and documentation.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in JVM-based backend development with Java and/or Kotlin.
  • Strong experience building complex production backend systems, including microservices or distributed systems.
  • Solid experience with relational databases, SQL, and ORM tools.
  • Hands-on experience with Git, specifically GitLab.
  • Experience working in containerized environments with Docker.
  • Strong understanding of clean code principles, code quality tools such as Sonar, and automated testing practices including TDD.
  • Proven experience delivering software end-to-end into production.
  • Experience working in cross-functional Agile teams.
  • Upper-Intermediate+ English level and strong communication skills.
  • Ownership mindset with the ability to drive tasks independently and take responsibility for delivery.
  • Excellent collaboration skills and willingness to share knowledge and contribute to team growth.
  • Experience with Spring Boot and/or Ktor is desirable.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially GitLab CI, is desirable.
  • Familiarity with Gradle is desirable.
  • Experience designing or working with APIs such as REST, JSON, SOAP, or SFTP is desirable.
  • Exposure to NoSQL databases such as MongoDB is desirable.
  • Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ is desirable.
  • Experience in regulated or healthcare environments is desirable.
  • Exposure to secure identity card issuance or payment systems is desirable.
  • Willingness to work remotely and occasionally travel for team meetings is desirable.
