Description

  • Monitor client infrastructure and respond to incidents and outage situations.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve routine and complex network, hardware, and operating system issues.
  • Respond to network incidents through the monitoring platform and restore service promptly.
  • Provide direct customer support by phone or email for technical issues and escalations.
  • Communicate restoration steps clearly and document actions in the ticketing system.
  • Create accurate troubleshooting guides and knowledge base documentation.
  • Provide regular status updates to customers on open tickets.
  • Recommend improvements to infrastructure stability within the managed services portfolio.
  • Perform standard moves, adds, and changes within the Cisco collaboration ecosystem.
  • Support continual improvement in customer experience and meet individual performance goals.

Requirements

  • Cisco CCNP certification or equivalent preferred.
  • 1+ years of experience as a Network Engineer or in a Network Operations Center preferred.
  • Strong understanding of routing and switching across Cisco, Cisco Meraki, HP, Aruba, and Juniper environments.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise wireless technologies.
  • Strong understanding of network security principles using Cisco ASA/Firepower, Cisco ISE, Palo Alto, and Fortinet.
  • Basic understanding of Cisco applications such as Prime, DNA Center, and Umbrella.
  • Basic understanding of Cisco collaboration deployments, including CUCM, CUC, IM&P, CER, and UCCX, is desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of the OSI model and switching and Internet routing technologies.
  • Strong customer-focused, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical, multitasking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, maintain professionalism, and continually improve skills and performance.
