Description

  • Develop customer understanding and use creative and AI video market insights to guide the editor roadmap.
  • Shape intuitive interactions and defaults that help creators produce polished, professional video.
  • Partner with AI Research to expand editing capabilities, including video regeneration and automatic speaker identification.
  • Own recording, script generation, and translation workflows within Descript.
  • Scale the product reliably for larger teams and more complex workflows.
  • Define and execute solutions for ambiguous, emerging product areas without established design conventions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of product management experience.
  • Experience shipping creative tools or workflow products.
  • Experience designing intuitive experiences for complex, end-to-end workflows.
  • Systems-oriented product thinking and strong product intuition.
  • Experience conducting customer discovery and defining solutions to real user problems.
  • Ability to work effectively on ambiguous problems and translate ideas into action.
  • Strong attention to product quality and interaction details.
  • Interest or experience in AI-powered video and editing products is preferred.
