Description

  • Define and execute Descript’s partnerships roadmap across distribution, integrations, and bundling opportunities.
  • Identify long-range strategic opportunities in AI, generative media, creator ecosystems, and adjacent markets.
  • Own executive-level relationships with strategic partners, including AI platforms, content networks, and technology providers.
  • Expand Descript’s reach through integration-driven distribution across content platforms, LMS products, and creator tools.
  • Lead partner go-to-market motions to drive ARR through headless API and platform integrations.
  • Build scalable frameworks for sourcing, evaluating, and closing new revenue-generating partners.
  • Drive joint campaigns, launches, and partner-led events to increase awareness of Descript.
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering to deliver integrations that close feature gaps and improve user experience.
  • Ensure integrations deliver differentiated value and increase product stickiness.
  • Build and maintain trusted long-term relationships with partner executives and decision-makers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in partnerships, ecosystem development, or business development at a high-growth SaaS, AI, or media technology company.
  • Proven success building integration- and distribution-driven partnerships that accelerate growth and improve product experience.
  • Deep technical and product intuition, with comfort working closely with product managers and engineers.
  • Strong knowledge of generative AI, media, or creator ecosystems.
  • Existing relationships across AI, media, or creator industries are a plus.
  • Ability to set partnership strategy and execute deals from sourcing through launch.
  • Strong collaboration skills across product, engineering, marketing, and executive teams.
  • Experience in partnerships rather than direct quota-carrying sales roles.
  • Ability to represent the company credibly with senior leaders and strategic partners.
