Description

  • Translate business goals into concrete data solutions for internal and client situations.
  • Identify and execute optimal technical approaches across multiple technical and functional domains.
  • Explain design decisions and the tradeoffs behind them.
  • Communicate recommendations, context, and rationale to internal and external stakeholders to build alignment.
  • Evaluate whether proposed work maximizes client value delivery.
  • Synthesize input from multiple team members to reach a solution.
  • Provide technical advice on decisions that affect multiple projects or the broader company.
  • Take projects from RFP/SOW/BRD through delivery, including requirements gathering, data architecture, workflow management, quality assurance, reporting, visualization, and presentation.
  • Manage smaller project teams.
  • Mentor junior colleagues on process, analysis, deliverables, and client work.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in several of the following: Airflow, Luigi, Informatica, SSIS, Datastage, Python, Ruby, Java, Scala, C++, Databricks, BigQuery, Snowflake, PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL Server, Redshift, or MongoDB.
  • Experience with Scala, Kafka, and MongoDB is a plus.
  • Experience working in cloud environments such as AWS or GCP is a plus.
  • Experience with Unix-based operating systems is a plus.
  • 5+ years of experience in discovery and assessment of a client’s portfolio, tools, and applications.
  • 3+ years of professional software and consulting experience.
  • Experience managing smaller project teams.
  • Experience with data governance, observability, and quality frameworks.
  • Ability to move a project from RFP/SOW/BRD through delivery.
  • Interest in mentoring junior colleagues on process, analysis, deliverables, and client work.
