Description

  • Own accounts receivable, denials management, root-cause analysis, and collections improvement.
  • Establish reliable reporting for net collection rate, days in AR, clean claim rate, denial rate, and cost to collect.
  • Manage EHR, clearinghouse, and billing platform relationships, configurations, and improvements.
  • Improve front-end revenue integrity, including eligibility verification, benefits, patient responsibility, and estimates.
  • Identify and implement automation and AI for billing, posting, follow-up, and reconciliation.
  • Partner with Finance on cash forecasting, close processes, accruals, reserves, and AR allowance.
  • Lead the RCM team and collaborate with Finance, Clinical Operations, Product, Engineering, and Credentialing.
  • Build compliance practices for HIPAA, EOBs, statements, minor consent, confidentiality, and payer audits.
  • Drive upstream workflow improvements involving eligibility, authorization, intake, and documentation.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of revenue cycle management experience, including 5+ years leading RCM teams.
  • Experience working at one or more startups and building operational functions from the ground up.
  • Deep expertise in outpatient behavioral health and Medicaid/MCO billing.
  • Hands-on experience using AI and automation to improve operational workflows.
  • Track record of establishing reporting, automating manual work, and leading system migrations.
  • Strong financial ownership, forecasting skills, and willingness to communicate variance and uncertainty transparently.
  • Excellent executive communication and ability to present clear recommendations and tradeoffs.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive change across Clinical Operations, Product, and Engineering without direct authority.
  • Experience with school-based, pediatric, or youth behavioral health programs preferred.
  • Experience with multistate billing, BI tools, or value-based/outcomes-linked payer contracts preferred.
