Description

  • Prospect into large Fortune 1000 companies while managing an efficient sales process.
  • Maintain, build, and own relationship maps for your territory, including existing and aspirational contacts.
  • Develop a deep understanding of each customer's business and buying drivers.
  • Negotiate pricing and business terms with large commercial enterprises by selling value and ROI.
  • Manage existing customer expectations while expanding reach and depth within the assigned territory.
  • Identify the business drivers behind opportunities and align solutions accordingly.
  • Demonstrate resourcefulness in solving complex challenges and advancing deals.
  • Use sound judgment on the steps needed to close business and gain customer validation.
  • Maintain high forecasting accuracy and consistency.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of closing experience, with a mix of field selling in mid-market and enterprise environments.
  • A track record of meeting or exceeding direct sales goals of $1M+ and operating with an average deal size of $100K+.
  • Ability to prospect and build pipeline independently using a clear methodology.
  • Experience working for an innovative tech company, with SaaS or IT infrastructure preferred.
  • Experience selling to large Fortune 1000 companies and winning new logos.
  • Regular travel to client sites within your area and other regions as needed.
  • Passion for technology and willingness to grow your skills.
  • Datadog notes that not all candidates will meet every qualification on day one.
