Description

  • Partner with the Sales team to present Datadog’s value proposition, vision, and strategy to customers.
  • Own technical engagement with customers during the trial phase and drive issues or concerns to resolution.
  • Support and close complex opportunities using technical expertise and competitive knowledge.
  • Deliver product and technical briefings and presentations to prospective clients.
  • Maintain accurate customer notes and feedback in the CRM, including wins and losses.
  • Proactively share product feedback and competitive insights with Datadog’s business and technical teams.
  • Help qualify opportunities with customers and partners.
  • Provide technical expertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, and POV support.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in a Sales Engineering or DevOps Engineering role.
  • Experience programming or scripting in one or more of: Java, Python, Ruby, Go, Node.JS, PHP, or .NET.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to explain both business value and technical advantages of the offering.
  • Ability to build and execute an evaluation plan with a customer.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 45% of the time.
  • Ability to sit for up to 4 hours while traveling to and from client sites.
  • Passion for technology and willingness to continue growing skills.
  • Experience in observability is preferred.
