Description

  • Meet or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets while providing accurate, timely forecasts to senior management.
  • Build go-to-market strategy for a new product release.
  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with key decision-makers at the engineering and leadership levels within assigned accounts.
  • Understand customer needs, challenges, and goals to deliver tailored solutions and support customer success.
  • Develop and manage the sales pipeline and advance opportunities from initial contact through close.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline and contact records in the CRM.
  • Leverage pre-planned sales and marketing activities to acquire new logos.
  • Analyze dormant customers and develop growth strategies for new and existing accounts.
  • Prepare proposals and quotations that address customer requirements and maximize customer value.
  • Present software solutions, negotiate deals, and obtain contracts and purchase orders.
  • Coordinate sales efforts with internal teams including marketing, sales management, accounting, and technical services.
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competition, and customer needs to identify new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical, engineering, business, or related field.
  • 5+ years of successful sales experience in the software industry.
  • Experience in both account management and new logo sales.
  • Experience managing multibillion-dollar strategic accounts and developing account plans to maximize account value.
  • Ability to manage numerous opportunities and priorities while tracking progress.
  • Ability to understand the deployment of manufacturing software applications.
  • Strong networking skills and ability to develop and maintain business relationships.
  • Results-oriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience or familiarity with CRM tools.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% domestically and internationally.
  • Preferred: strong understanding of the refinery and chemical industry, including its technologies, products, and market dynamics.
  • Preferred: experience bringing a new product to market.
