Description

  • Drive customer consumption by identifying key use cases and increasing platform usage.
  • Secure strategic committed deals to co-invest in high-priority initiatives and accelerate delivery.
  • Prospect and generate leads using intent signals, account planning, and customer stories.
  • Engage prospects through BDRs, marketing, and network relationships to displace incumbent technologies.
  • Conduct first meetings with strong points of view and create urgency for change.
  • Develop territory and account plans to prioritize pursuits and progress the pipeline.
  • Lead sales activities such as roundtables, bootcamps, and industry events to build relationships.
  • Maintain an accurate Salesforce pipeline and manage the sales cycle from initial contact to close.
  • Create proof of concepts and coordinate with architects, professional services, and engagement managers.
  • Align with executive sponsors and coordinate demand planning sessions to support customer success.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in sales in the banking industry is preferred.
  • Demonstrable experience selling innovation in Big Data, Cloud, or SaaS technology.
  • Experience selling in a consumption-first world.
  • Strong prospecting, lead generation, and customer engagement skills.
  • Ability to drive consumption and secure customer commitment.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including GDRs and Customer Success teams.
  • Understanding of the Databricks platform and the ability to communicate its value to customers.
  • Proven ability to navigate complex and ambiguous customers and situations.
  • Takes initiative, is proactive, and driven.
  • Detail-oriented, creative, coachable, and open to change and uncertainty.
