Description

  • Partner with the sales team to help customers understand how Databricks can solve their business problems.
  • Provide technical leadership to support customers in evaluating and adopting Databricks.
  • Consult on big data architecture and develop proof of concepts for strategic customer projects.
  • Support data science and machine learning projects and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
  • Build and present reference architectures, how-tos, and demo applications for customers.
  • Become an expert in and promote Databricks open-source projects through meetups, conferences, and webinars.
  • Work directly with customers, teammates, the product team, and post-sales teams to identify use cases and guide implementation.
  • Build customer relationships and develop trusted advisor status.
  • Travel to customers in your region.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
  • Experience designing and architecting distributed data systems.
  • Comfortable programming in and debugging at least one of Python, Scala, Java, SQL, or R.
  • Experience supporting Public Sector clients.
  • Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following: data engineering technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka; data warehousing such as SQL, OLTP/OLAP/DSS; or data science and machine learning technologies such as pandas, scikit-learn, or HPO.
  • Preferred degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research.
  • Secret security clearance or willingness to obtain one.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $152,300 to $209,450 USD.
