Description

  • Partner with the sales team and provide technical leadership to help customers solve business problems with Databricks.
  • Collaborate with existing customers, product teams, and customer-facing teams to develop architectures and solutions using the platform and APIs.
  • Guide customers through the competitive landscape, best practices, and implementation.
  • Develop technical champions within customer organizations.
  • Consult on big data architectures and implement proof of concepts for strategic projects.
  • Support data engineering, data science, machine learning, and SQL analysis workflows.
  • Validate integrations with cloud services, homegrown tools, and third-party applications.
  • Collaborate with fellow Solutions Architects to support each other and users.
  • Promote and recruit contributors for Databricks open-source projects across the developer community.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, technical architecture, or a similar pre-sales/consulting role.
  • Experience building distributed data systems.
  • Comfortable programming in and debugging Python and SQL.
  • Experience building solutions with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Expertise in one of the following: data engineering technologies such as Spark, Hadoop, or Kafka; or data science and machine learning technologies such as pandas, scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
  • Available to travel to customers in your region.
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research (desired).
  • Databricks Certification (nice to have).

Benefits

  • Local pay range of $152,300 to $209,450 USD.
