Description

  • Lead and scale a customer-facing AI/ML professional services team, including hiring, mentoring, and team structure development.
  • Develop executive relationships with key customers and partners, serving as a trusted advisor on complex AI and technical engagements.
  • Align with Field Engineering and Sales leaders on joint strategies for strategic accounts and delivery coordination.
  • Lead AI professional services initiatives, practice development, and standardized delivery processes.
  • Design scalable engagement models and reusable solutions to improve repeatability across the global team.
  • Influence Product, R&D, and GTM teams by sharing voice-of-customer insights and delivery learnings.
  • Own OKRs related to AI-services-led accounts, revenue, utilization, and public references.
  • Represent Databricks as a thought leader in AI/ML.
  • Scope, guide, and support technical engagements while managing escalations and ensuring successful enterprise delivery.
  • Drive strategic AI transformation planning across customer organizations, including change management and stakeholder alignment.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience managing, hiring, and building high-performing data science or ML engineering teams.
  • Track record of scaling organizations through scalable processes and leadership development.
  • Ability to scope, guide, and sell technical engagements in enterprise environments.
  • Experience managing escalations and ensuring successful delivery for complex customer engagements.
  • Deep technical expertise in ML, GenAI, and data science.
  • Experience leading teams that build production ML solutions in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Proven success developing strategy with senior executive stakeholders and building trust in complex enterprise engagements.
  • Cross-functional leadership experience working with Sales, Product, and GTM teams.
  • Graduate degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, or Operations Research, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Preferred: experience in a customer-facing consulting or professional services leadership role.
  • Preferred: experience working with Databricks.
  • A company-first mindset.
