Description

  • Guide enterprise customers through the architecture, administration, and security of Databricks deployments on Microsoft Azure.
  • Lead customers through the full lifecycle of Databricks on Azure platform administration from design to production deployment.
  • Architect secure, scalable enterprise deployments that meet complex networking, identity, and security compliance requirements.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in Azure infrastructure, infrastructure-as-code, cloud networking, and identity management.
  • Support Solutions Architects during technical sales cycles by building proof-of-concept architectures and technical content.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and customers to align technical roadmaps with Databricks platform capabilities.
  • Deliver tutorials, run hackathons, speak at conferences, and contribute to the open-source community to expand platform adoption.
  • Continuously develop expertise through mentorship, internal training, and learning in Azure cloud infrastructure, network security, and automated deployments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in a technical role with deep expertise in Microsoft Azure, cloud security, networking best practices, and enterprise data platform design.
  • 2+ years of professional experience with distributed architectures and big data technologies such as Apache Spark™, Hadoop, or Kafka.
  • 2+ years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Pre-Sales, Post-Sales, or Consulting.
  • Deep specialized expertise in at least one core domain: Security & Identity, Networking & Deployments, Platform Administration, or Infrastructure Automation (InfraOps).
  • Hands-on experience with Python, Java, or Scala, plus strong proficiency in SQL.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent practical work experience.
  • Experience with Azure security controls, Microsoft Entra ID, SCIM, OAuth, SAML, federation, VNet peering, ExpressRoute, Private Link, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, or cost management is preferred by domain.
  • Hands-on automation experience with IaC tools such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM is preferred.
  • Databricks certifications and/or Microsoft Azure certifications are a nice to have, such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Data Engineer.
  • Ability to meet role-specific training and technical delivery milestones within the first 6 months.
  • Willingness to travel up to 30% as needed.
