Description

  • Develop and implement technical account strategies with Account Executives to support growth goals for strategic retail accounts.
  • Build technical champions within customer organizations to influence key technical decisions.
  • Influence stakeholders at all levels through complex engagements across the cloud ecosystem and third-party applications.
  • Act as an expert solution architect and trusted advisor for data analytics architecture, design, and platform adoption.
  • Support customer and colleague success through technical leadership in significant account engagements.
  • Create customer-facing collateral and lead workshops, seminars, and meetups to strengthen technical community engagement.
  • Work with hands-on resources to support proofs of concept and product demonstrations.
  • Contribute to one of the company’s development tracks: technical specialization, industry thought leadership, strategic customer vision, or people management.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of customer-facing technical experience with very large customers, preferably in pre-sales.
  • Experience supporting enterprise accounts with $3M-$5M+ ARR.
  • Deep technical expertise in big data, data science, data engineering, data warehousing, and cloud technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience designing and implementing big data technologies such as Hadoop, NoSQL, MPP, OLTP, and OLAP, or full lifecycle data science solutions.
  • Hands-on experience with complex proofs of concept and public cloud platforms.
  • Experience with a core programming language such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Willingness to learn Spark.
  • Ability to architect complex technical solutions for specialized customer needs and navigate a competitive landscape.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% when needed.
  • Databricks Certification is preferred.

Benefits

  • Base pay range of $180,000 to $247,500 USD for Zone 3.
  • Eligibility for annual performance bonus.
