Description

  • Partner with customers to design scalable data architectures using Databricks technology and services.
  • Collaborate with Account Executives and sales partners on account strategies to grow platform usage.
  • Establish Databricks Lakehouse architecture as the standard data architecture for customers through technical account planning.
  • Build and present reference architectures and demo applications for prospects.
  • Consult on big data architectures, data engineering pipelines, and data science and machine learning projects.
  • Prove out Databricks technology for strategic customer projects and validate integrations with cloud services and third-party applications.
  • Engage with customer technical leads, architects, engineers, and operations teams as a trusted advisor.
  • Represent customer needs across Databricks teams and executive leadership.
  • Promote Databricks open-source projects such as Spark, Delta Lake, MLflow, and Koalas through meetups, conferences, and webinars.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a customer-facing pre-sales, technical architecture, or consulting role.
  • Expertise in at least one of the following areas: big data engineering, data warehousing and ETL, data science and machine learning, or data applications.
  • Experience translating customer business needs into technology solutions and building stakeholder buy-in at all levels.
  • Experience designing, architecting, presenting, and delivering production data systems.
  • Fluency in SQL and database technology.
  • Debug and development experience in at least one of Python, Scala, Java, or R.
  • Experience with public cloud providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP is preferred.
  • Degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or Operations Research is preferred.
  • Ability to travel to customers in your region up to 30% of the time.
  • Open to remote candidates in other locations in eastern Canada.

Benefits

  • Canada pay range of $164,500 to $224,000 CAD.
  • Eligibility for annual performance bonus.
  • Eligibility for equity as part of total compensation.

  • Remote flexibility for candidates located outside the listed locations in eastern Canada.
