Description

  • Assess accounts and develop strategies to identify and engage all buying centers.
  • Use a solution-selling approach to create customer value and advance deals.
  • Identify the most viable use cases within each account to maximize Databricks impact.
  • Orchestrate cross-functional teams to expand ecosystem impact and support account execution.
  • Build value throughout customer engagements to move negotiations to close.
  • Develop account and territory plans while prospecting new customers and managing pipeline and forecast across multiple quarters.
  • Manage competitive deals and escalate proactively when support is needed.
  • Promote the Databricks enterprise cloud data platform powered by Apache Spark.
  • Deliver technical and business outcomes for customers using the Databricks platform.
  • Report to a regional sales manager.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in open source, data platform, or cloud infrastructure direct sales roles.
  • Experience with consumption-based go-to-market motions.
  • Prior relationships with CIOs and other key decision-makers.
  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets for new logo acquisition and customer growth.
  • Ability to balance prospecting with growing existing customer usage.
  • Ability to clearly explain complex cloud technologies and big data.
  • Experience exceeding sales quotas.
  • Success closing new business within existing accounts.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Preference for candidates based in MST or PST.
  • Located in a region covered by Databricks pay zone mapping, with on-target earnings or base salary aligned to the listed range.

Benefits

  • Base salary or on-target earnings of $245,200 to $337,150 USD, depending on pay zone.
