Description

  • Improve, streamline, and automate legal operations and workflows for the legal team.
  • Own legal systems, tools, and processes, including knowledge, contract, and compliance management systems.
  • Serve as a front-line legal contact for business groups such as sales and operations and triage their legal needs efficiently.
  • Develop and execute communication plans, playbooks, guidelines, and policies for company-wide and department-specific legal initiatives.
  • Create training materials and self-service tools for sales, operations, and other internal clients.
  • Identify, manage, and report on key legal operational metrics to support decision-making, roadmaps, budgeting, and hiring plans.
  • Work with attorneys on licensing, commercial law, policy guidance, privacy, data security, contract interpretation, and vendor relationships.
  • Review, draft, and negotiate NDAs, SOWs, RFPs, technology agreements, amendments, and other customer and vendor agreements.
  • Partner with Sales, Customer Support, Consulting, and Finance to align business needs with contract terms.
  • Manage document flow, contract routing, e-signatures, follow-ups, and the contracts repository.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a paralegal, contracts manager, contracts administrator, or in a comparable role.
  • Deep understanding of contract review, drafting, and negotiation for commercial contracts, including NDAs, technology agreements, service agreements, and DPAs.
  • Solid understanding of legal project management, process analysis, and automation of manual tasks with technology solutions.
  • Experience using contract or matter management software such as DocuSign, Salesforce, or IronClad.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently move projects forward in a cross-functional environment.
  • Corporate in-house experience, preferably in a SaaS or technology organization.
  • Strong negotiation, problem-solving, verbal and written communication, and task management skills.
  • Highly organized, process-oriented, detail-oriented, and able to prioritize effectively.
  • Ability to work East Coast hours.
  • Ability to perform under pressure and work independently as well as collaboratively.
