Description

  • Define reference architectures for MCP servers and custom connectors, including transport, authentication, schemas, versioning, error handling, and observability.
  • Design and review connector specifications for Coupa, NetSuite, SAP, Workday, Salesforce, and external partner APIs.
  • Establish security and governance patterns for OAuth2/OIDC, secrets management, least-privilege access, and audit logging.
  • Own the integration team’s technical roadmap and backlog prioritization with the Senior Director.
  • Provide architecture reviews, code-level guidance, and technical leadership to AI Integration Engineers.
  • Evaluate iPaaS, orchestration frameworks, agent SDKs, and API gateways for scalability and maintainability.
  • Define testing and evaluation standards for connector reliability and agent tool-calling accuracy.
  • Serve as the technical escalation point for production incidents involving connectors and MCP infrastructure.
  • Partner with Security, Data Governance, and Enterprise Architecture on SOC 2, data residency, and PII compliance requirements.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software or integration engineering experience, including 3+ years in an architect or technical lead role.
  • Extensive experience building enterprise-scale API integrations and connectors using REST, GraphQL, gRPC, webhooks, and event streaming.
  • Working knowledge of MCP or comparable agent-tool-calling frameworks, including transport, schema, and session-lifecycle tradeoffs.
  • Strong proficiency in Python or TypeScript/Node.js, with the ability to read the other language.
  • Practical experience with LLM and agent frameworks such as Anthropic or OpenAI SDKs, LangChain, or LangGraph.
  • Experience with OAuth2, OIDC, SAML, API security, and secrets management tools such as Vault or cloud secret managers.
  • Experience with AWS, GCP, or Azure and containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Enterprise systems integration experience in ERP, finance, or procurement; Coupa, NetSuite, or SAP experience is preferred.
  • Excellent written English communication skills, including producing architecture documentation and leading global design reviews.
