Description

  • Lead a team of software engineers building AI/ML platform capabilities that support product features across the company.
  • Drive strategy and execution for core AI/ML components, including feature stores, distributed model training, model versioning, evaluation, monitoring, drift detection, and automated retraining.
  • Partner with Data Science and domain engineering teams to understand use cases and build scalable foundations for real-time and batch applications.
  • Collaborate with Engineering Managers, Architects, Product Managers, Directors, ML-Ops, and DevOps partners across the AI pillar.
  • Influence technical strategy and guide architectural decisions for scalable, secure AI/ML systems.
  • Mentor engineers, foster teamwork, and encourage continuous improvement.
  • Translate business needs into engineering outcomes and help deliver high-quality software on time.
  • Guide the team in delivering robust design, peer reviews, and efficient CI/CD practices.
  • Support responsible AI, explainability, and fairness frameworks for AI/ML solutions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience.
  • At least 3 years of experience managing engineering teams.
  • Deep understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and Machine Learning Lifecycle (MLL).
  • Experience implementing AI/ML solutions in production environments.
  • Experience integrating models into real-time and batch applications.
  • Familiarity with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, MLflow, scikit-learn, or HuggingFace.
  • Comfort with Python (preferred), Java, C#, or Scala.
  • Knowledge of object-oriented programming, concurrency, microservices, REST APIs, and test-driven development.
  • Experience with testing concepts such as white-box and black-box testing, coverage, and mocking, plus tools like PyTest, xUnit, or Selenium.
  • Hands-on experience with GCP services such as BigQuery, GKE, GCS, DataFlow, Kubeflow, and Vertex AI, or equivalent AWS/Azure services.
  • Familiarity with IaC and CI/CD tools such as Terraform, GitHub Actions, Concourse, or Ansible.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Computational Linguistics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
  • Experience with AI product lifecycle management, model governance, and release management (preferred).
  • Strong architectural instincts and experience providing technical oversight for AI/ML systems (preferred).
  • Track record of hiring, coaching, and developing engineering talent (preferred).
  • Experience working in agile, cross-functional environments (preferred).
