Description

  • Outbound prospecting into existing customers via referral outreach, cold calling, email, and LinkedIn to secure first meetings and new opportunities.
  • Drive referrals and introductions within current customer relationships and leverage successful deployments to open new conversations across campus units.
  • Create and build multi-stakeholder relationships across higher education customers to generate near-term and long-term opportunities and ongoing referrals.
  • Build account models and qualify opportunities with key decision makers, including leaders in higher education admissions and marketing.
  • Discover client pain points, recommend solutions, overcome objections, and use consultative selling to help clients see product value.
  • Conduct online presentations and product demonstrations to prospective buyers.
  • Prepare and present proposals, negotiate and get contracts executed, and close new business.
  • Log and maintain accurate sales activity and pipeline data in Salesforce and coordinate hand-offs with Client Success.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of successful higher education sales experience (required).
  • 4+ years in sales; B2B SaaS experience strongly preferred.
  • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales quotas and closing new business.
  • True “hunter” mentality with demonstrated success in outbound prospecting, including cold calling, email, and LinkedIn outreach.
  • Availability to align with client local time zones for outbound calling and meetings, including early mornings.
  • Proficiency with Salesforce; familiarity with sales engagement tools (Salesloft, Outreach, Groove) is a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills and experience delivering online demos.
  • Strong attention to detail with numbers, contract follow-through, and the sales process; ability to overcome objections.
  • Self-starter, solution-oriented team player with high energy who thrives in a fast-paced, quota-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

  • Salary range $85,000–$100,000 annually with variable component; on-target earnings up to $180,000 and uncapped commissions.
