Description

  • Own, maintain, optimize, and scale the Snowflake warehouse, transformation layer, and ETL/ELT pipelines.
  • Build and operate reliable integrations from NetSuite, Jira/service platforms, and custom applications.
  • Own the BI layer, currently using HEX, and evaluate future tools such as Tableau or Looker.
  • Partner with the COO and cross-functional leaders to translate operational goals into data models, dashboards, and insights.
  • Establish metric definitions, documentation, testing, governance, and data-quality standards.
  • Automate operational reporting, ad hoc analysis, SLA reporting, and client review data.
  • Monitor pipelines, troubleshoot failures, and ensure data is accurate and reliable.
  • Serve as the primary data consultant for operations, finance, and engineering teams.
  • Evaluate new tools and experimental models to improve analytics solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data engineering, or analytics.
  • Experience building data models and pipelines that business users depend on; first or only data practitioner experience preferred.
  • Hands-on expertise with Snowflake architecture, performance tuning, and optimization.
  • Advanced SQL skills.
  • Experience with ETL or integration tools such as Celigo, Fivetran, dbt, or custom API scripting.
  • Experience building effective BI dashboards; Tableau, Power BI, or Looker experience required.
  • HEX experience preferred.
  • Experience with data from NetSuite, Jira, and custom web applications.
  • Ability to work autonomously, prioritize high-value analytics work, and deliver from problem definition through implementation.
  • Strong communication, attention to detail, data-quality practices, and interest in both data engineering and analytics.
