Description

  • Build and maintain dbt models using SQL and Jinja for finance, product, sales, and customer success analytics.
  • Improve model reliability through tests, freshness checks, constraints, and other data-quality controls.
  • Create reports and dashboards in Metabase.
  • Conduct ad hoc analysis to answer business questions and uncover insights.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business domains and design analytics solutions.
  • Document data models, analyses, and processes clearly.
  • Automate repetitive data workflows and contribute to scalable analytics infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in analytics engineering, data analysis, or a related technical role.
  • Advanced SQL proficiency, including complex joins, window functions, and CTEs.
  • Production experience with at least one dbt project.
  • Strong dimensional, relational, or semantic data modeling skills.
  • Excellent data modeling judgment focused on simplicity and modularity.
  • Experience analyzing complex datasets and identifying trends, outliers, and insights.
  • Experience with structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data formats.
  • Familiarity with visualization tools such as Metabase, Looker, or Tableau.
  • Experience with Git-based development, pull requests, code review, and CI/CD.
  • Strong communication and technical documentation skills; Snowflake, SnowSQL, Python, Pandas/Polars, Jupyter, or AI and agentic tools are preferred.
