Description

  • Serve as the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR inquiries, employment verification requests, policies, benefits, programs, and procedures.
  • Coordinate and monitor leave administration in HRIS platforms, ensuring accurate tracking, documentation, and policy alignment.
  • Support new hire onboarding and orientation, including preparing documentation, resources, and introductions to HR programs and policies.
  • Administer employee lifecycle transactions such as new hires, terminations, status changes, transfers, leaves of absence, and position changes.
  • Maintain the accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality of HRIS data and employee records.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of HR policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Support compliance with applicable employment legislation, regulatory requirements, and U.S./Canadian reporting obligations.
  • Administer U.S. employment eligibility verification, including I-9 review, E-Verify processing, and record maintenance.
  • Support strategic HR projects, programs, and cross-functional initiatives through coordination and operational support.

Requirements

  • Bilingual proficiency in English and French is mandatory.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 3–5 years of progressive Human Resources experience, ideally in a Generalist or comparable role.
  • Strong knowledge of HR principles, best practices, employment standards, and regulatory requirements in both Canada and the United States.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and time management with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and professionalism.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms; Dayforce experience is a strong asset.
  • Demonstrated professional judgment, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Authorization to work for any employer in Canada; no visa or work permit sponsorship is available.
