Description

  • Prospect for net-new public sector and higher education accounts across the West Coast territory.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers to build an active deal pipeline and quota coverage.
  • Create demand for expansion within existing accounts to grow Collibra’s footprint.
  • Manage complex public sector and higher education sales cycles from lead origination through negotiation, close, and expansion.
  • Collaborate with customers, partners, and peers in a consultative sales process focused on compliance, governance, and data management needs.
  • Navigate public sector procurement cycles, budget timelines, and buying processes.
  • Provide reliable sales forecasting and keep Salesforce updated with real-time activity.
  • Serve as a trusted data intelligence advisor throughout the customer journey to drive demand, adoption, and expansion.

Requirements

  • Consistently achieved or overachieved SaaS sales quota.
  • Experience selling into public sector, state and local government, or higher education accounts preferred.
  • Experience in data management is highly preferred, with familiarity with enterprise data management or analytics platforms a strong plus.
  • Strong understanding of public sector and higher education procurement cycles, compliance requirements, and stakeholder dynamics.
  • Experience originating and navigating complex direct sales cycles with multiple technical and business stakeholders.
  • Experience selling net-new business and expansion opportunities to C-level and senior leadership buyers in large enterprise and public sector accounts.
  • Experience managing consultative sales processes with value-based outcomes.
  • At least 2-3 years of experience in data management or public sector technology sales.
  • Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools such as Claude, Gemini, ChatGPT, or Copilot to solve business challenges or streamline workflows.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related work experience.
  • Ability to travel 25-50% within the West Coast territory.
  • This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

  • Base salary range of $140,000 to $175,000 per year.
