Description

  • Act as the primary technical resource for the sales team during pre-sales discussions.
  • Lead technical discovery and scoping to understand client architecture, integration needs, and business objectives.
  • Design, develop, and deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and client trials.
  • Create tailored API solution proposals with technical specifications, integration plans, and resource estimates.
  • Support the full sales cycle for complex API deals, including qualification, negotiation, closing, RFP responses, and security assessments.
  • Support client onboarding, integration, API adoption, solution reviews, and renewal or upsell opportunities.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for the API suite, WebSocket offerings, and data delivery platform.
  • Troubleshoot client technical issues in collaboration with internal engineering teams.
  • Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, and Client Success to ensure feasible solutions and share client feedback.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, follow pre-sales processes, and contribute to playbooks and process improvements.

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of experience in Solutions Engineering, Sales Engineering, Technical Pre-Sales, or Consulting for Enterprise SaaS products.
  • Experience supporting the closure of high-value deals, ideally in SaaS, fintech, or data companies.
  • Experience working with Enterprise or B2B clients on API or data-driven solutions.
  • Strong technical sales skills with comfort discussing architecture and integrations with CTOs, product managers, and engineers.
  • Strong understanding of API products, API use cases, RESTful architectures, and WebSocket-based architectures.
  • Strong knowledge of data delivery protocols such as HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, SFTP, and Webhooks.
  • Understanding of data serialization formats such as JSON, CSV, XML, and Parquet, plus compression techniques.
  • Familiarity with Python, JavaScript, or Postman for testing API endpoints.
  • Knowledge of SQL, data visualization tools such as Redash, Tableau, or PowerBI, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred; marketing or business-related fields are a plus.
  • Strong market research and competitor analysis skills with the ability to translate insights into sales strategy.
  • Strong presentation, communication, project management, and leadership potential.
