Description

  • Handle financial and accounting queries, including those from regulatory authorities, related to the firm's finance function.
  • Monitor and oversee outsourced finance service providers and their performance.
  • Oversee finance processes in Luxembourg to ensure they operate effectively and produce accurate financial insights.
  • Conduct financial performance analysis for the regional business and propose improvements.
  • Provide financial advice to support business decision-making.
  • Perform industry analysis and business intelligence research.
  • Own financial reporting, financial monitoring, financial control, and business forecasting.
  • Assist in preparing reports for the Board.
  • Oversee liquidity management and coordinate treasury planning projects with the treasury team.
  • Monitor safeguarding of customer funds, oversee reconciliation procedures, and maintain proper books of account.
  • Partner with Global Accounting to prepare, update, and review accounting policies and estimates.
  • Prepare financial statements and related materials for external use, including audits and regulatory submissions.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience as a finance professional in a payment/e-money institution, bank, fintech, financial regulatory agency, or professional services firm serving financial institution clients.
  • University degree in Accounting or Finance, or an equivalent professional qualification such as ACCA.
  • Experience with and understanding of payments, e-money or wallet products/services, banking functions, and merchant processing.
  • Ability to communicate timely financial performance information to the Head of Finance and provide high-quality impartial information for decision-making in a regulated environment.
  • Ability to promote company culture, values, and behaviors and uphold performance standards.
  • Demonstrated thought leadership and market presence related to best practices and innovation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across business functions and perform in a high-paced environment; project management experience is desirable.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills; fluency in English is required.
  • Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality standards and strong time management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth business environment.
  • Experience in the crypto industry is preferred.
  • ERP systems experience, preferably NetSuite, is preferred.
  • Experience with Coupa, FloQast, and Jira is preferred.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Suite is preferred.

  • Annual base salary of €129,355.
  • Total compensation may include equity and bonus eligibility.
