Description

  • Work on client projects using a team delivery approach for startups and enterprise clients.
  • Contribute to greenfield development and mission-critical systems.
  • Work as an embedded craftsperson within client development teams to improve their software practices.
  • Coach and mentor teams or individuals on software craftsmanship and engineering practices.
  • Promote and apply quality-focused development practices such as testing, pair programming, CI/CD, and Agile methods.
  • Collaborate in a horizontal, transparent environment with autonomy across different areas of the business.
  • Help introduce craftsmanship values and drive positive cultural change within client organizations.
  • Share knowledge internally and externally through learning and knowledge-sharing activities.

Requirements

  • High level of spoken and written English and Spanish.
  • 8+ years of experience with at least one of these languages: Java, C#, Python, Ruby, Clojure, Scala, Kotlin, JavaScript, or PHP.
  • Experience with the relevant build system for your primary language.
  • Comfortable with object-oriented programming (OOP).
  • Familiarity with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Understanding of multi-layer application design concepts.
  • Experience applying best practices, ideally TDD, pair programming, continuous integration/deployment, Agile methodologies, and SOLID principles.
  • Experience mentoring team members or leading a project/team.
  • Passion for writing and improving clean code and systems.
  • Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn new technologies, techniques, and approaches.
