Description

Define, own, and improve key antivirus product metrics and drive progress toward challenging performance goals.
Set and prioritize the product roadmap across the Malware, Cloud Antivirus, and Malware Processing teams.
Lead the end-to-end malware detection pipeline from file ingestion and cloud analysis to verdict delivery and cleanup.
Guide architectural decisions for distributed data processing and related infrastructure components.
Drive modernization initiatives, including AI-assisted malware analysis and AI rules creation.
Optimize cloud processing throughput and capacity for tens of millions of new samples processed daily.
Manage infrastructure scaling across compute nodes, storage clusters, and databases.
Lead, mentor, and grow engineers and team leaders across three geographically distributed teams.
Coordinate cross-team execution with Product Management, Server, Web Protection, QA, Infrastructure, and Support.
Ensure signature release quality, improve detection and cleanup metrics, and respond to production incidents and vendor integration issues.

Requirements

Past experience leading security products, labs, or research-focused teams.
8+ years of software engineering experience, including 3+ years in a management role leading multiple teams.
Deep expertise in malware analysis and antivirus technologies, including static and dynamic analysis, signature-based detection, heuristic engines, and file classification.
Experience with distributed systems and data engineering, including workflow orchestration such as Airflow or Luigi, message queues such as Kafka or RabbitMQ, and large-scale data processing.
Experience managing infrastructure at scale, including compute clusters, storage systems such as Ceph or S3, and databases such as ClickHouse, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, or Redis.
Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, including Jenkins, GitLab CI, and containerized deployments with Docker.
Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Grafana, Sentry, and log aggregation.
Experience in the web hosting security domain, including cPanel, Plesk, or shared hosting environments.
Background in machine learning applied to malware detection, including transformers or LLMs for code analysis.
Experience with GCP services such as Secret Manager and Cloud Storage.
Familiarity with PHP internals and PHP emulation for dynamic analysis.
Track record of building and scaling cloud antivirus or threat intelligence platforms.
Experience managing geographically distributed teams.
Primary technical stack includes Python, Rust, PHP, SQL, Apache Airflow, Celery, Redis, ClickHouse, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Ceph, S3-compatible storage, Docker, GCP, Jenkins, GitLab, Grafana, Redash, and Sentry.
