Description

  • Lead and develop four language-focused engineering teams covering Java, JavaScript/Go, Python, and PHP.
  • Set technical direction and operational standards for CVE analysis, vulnerability assessment, patch backporting, and security release processes.
  • Drive consistency in tooling and workflows across teams, including CI/CD pipelines, patch delivery, and release practices.
  • Evaluate and guide the use of AI-assisted automation for backporting and vulnerability discovery.
  • Serve as the final technical escalation point for complex or cross-team security issues.
  • Own SLA compliance across all language platforms and align execution with client expectations and delivery commitments.
  • Organize, improve, and standardize development workflows and engineering processes.
  • Oversee internal documentation to ensure it accurately reflects project status and scope.
  • Coordinate closely with OS, Docker, and platform teams on shared dependencies and cross-ecosystem vulnerabilities.
  • Manage hiring plans, performance reviews, onboarding, and career development for team members.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of hands-on software development experience across multiple language ecosystems.
  • 3+ years of engineering leadership experience in a product company, such as Team Lead or Engineering Manager.
  • Strong working knowledge of at least 3 of these languages: Java, JavaScript, Go, Python, and PHP.
  • Hands-on experience with security research or vulnerability analysis, such as CVE triage or patch backporting.
  • Proven ability to deliver results and take accountability for team outcomes.
  • Experience working effectively in distributed teams and larger organizational structures.
  • Strong communication skills for stakeholder management and external delivery expectations.
  • Experience building or improving engineering processes from scratch.
  • Experience with CI/CD systems such as GitLab CI or Jenkins.
  • Experience with dependency management tools such as Maven/Gradle, npm, pip, or Go modules.
  • Upper-intermediate or higher English proficiency in both written and spoken communication.
  • Preferred experience identifying and analyzing vulnerabilities in language-ecosystem applications.
  • Preferred understanding of the vulnerability lifecycle, including CVE, CVSS, CWE, and CSAF/VEX.
  • Preferred background in open-source security, supply chain security, or ELS-type products.
  • Preferred experience integrating AI tooling into research or patching workflows.
  • Preferred knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, or cloud-native ecosystems.
