Description

  • Design, build, and maintain Patchman backend infrastructure.
  • Develop and maintain new product features from design through implementation and testing.
  • Investigate and resolve complex customer-reported issues by digging into the codebase to find root causes.
  • Operate and maintain a large fleet of dedicated servers, including API gateways, load balancers, and internal processing nodes.
  • Implement and improve CI/CD pipelines for automated delivery.
  • Write and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure code quality.
  • Monitor production system performance and reliability and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to refine architecture and shape technical direction.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Backend or DevOps Developer.
  • Proficiency in at least one high-level programming language.
  • Experience designing backend services with a solid understanding of performance, concurrency, scalability, and reliability.
  • Hands-on experience with high-throughput data pipelines at scale using Apache Kafka, ClickHouse, RabbitMQ, or similar technologies.
  • Experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL and in-memory databases such as Redis.
  • Strong understanding of relational, NoSQL, and in-memory key-value data storage paradigms.
  • Practical experience with Docker and Docker Compose for local development and production deployments.
  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
  • Experience working with monitoring systems.
  • Solid understanding of CI/CD best practices, including Git, automated testing, and deployment workflows.
  • Excellent debugging skills and the ability to investigate complex technical issues.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret metrics and user feedback to make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Upper-intermediate spoken and written English.
  • Experience with Django (nice to have).
  • Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Ansible, or Salt (nice to have).
