Description

  • Deliver timely, organized customer onboarding and help customers realize the full value of Cloudflare products.
  • Serve as a trusted technical advisor within regional account teams and support the regional book of business alongside Customer Success Managers.
  • Drive customer retention and expansion through relationship building and participation in account reviews.
  • Provide proactive technical guidance and product expertise across Cloudflare’s platform.
  • Collaborate with Customer Support, Engineering, Sales, Product, and other teams to resolve technical escalations.
  • Identify expansion opportunities within existing customer accounts.
  • Contribute to internal and external documentation, technical Q&A, and best-practice improvements.
  • Apply deep architectural expertise and troubleshooting to support seamless integration, performance, and security in customer environments.
  • Travel 20-30% to meet customers, attend conferences, and collaborate with teammates.

Requirements

  • At least 6 years of experience in technical post-sales roles in cybersecurity or internet technology.
  • Fluency in both German and English.
  • Bachelor’s degree or comparable degree in IT; a master’s degree is a plus.
  • Deep understanding of how the internet works, including OSI layers and protocols such as TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, and HTTP.
  • Knowledge of reverse and forward proxies and their applications.
  • Understanding of security concepts such as firewalls, WAFs, bot management, rate limiting, mTLS, and Zero Trust.
  • Understanding of performance concepts such as speed, latency, caching, video streaming, HTTP/2, and TLSv1.3.
  • Demonstrated experience with a scripting language such as Python, JavaScript, or Bash.
  • Ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize competing demands.
  • Technical curiosity and willingness to stay current on Cloudflare products and industry trends.
