Description

  • Support sales engagements by creating initial business value propositions, process and capability assessments, and financial projections for CFO-ready business cases.
  • Draw insights for customers using public sources and relevant financial or market materials.
  • Lead sales, pre-sales, post-sales, and ecosystem stakeholders to discover, document, and present the value of Okta solutions.
  • Build and present customized presentations to C-level and board-level audiences evaluating strategic investments in Okta products and services.
  • Serve as the go-to resource for sales management in the supported territory on value-related activities.
  • Coordinate with sales management, marketing, and other pre-sales functions to expand value-related activity across the region.
  • Define new business value deliverables and processes while supporting standard tools and templates.
  • Build standard value cases and calculations for new capabilities.
  • Develop and deliver training materials to enable sales teams and the broader ecosystem.
  • Track post-sales benefit realization for customers implementing Okta solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a financial or technical field, or equivalent work experience; advanced degree is a plus.
  • Experience developing and delivering detailed presentations to customers on current and future state processes and solutions.
  • Strong consulting skills, including discovery, analysis, quantitative modeling, listening, communication, presentation, persuasion, and project leadership.
  • Comfort navigating investor presentations, press releases, earnings transcripts, and financial documents such as 10-Ks and 10-Qs; familiarity with industry-specific publications is a plus.
  • Understanding of software deal dynamics and the ability to think strategically about advancing software opportunities.
  • A self-starter mentality with the willingness to work in a fast-paced, highly varied environment and take on additional responsibilities over time.
  • Ability to work independently and creatively.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites, averaging 30% travel, typically as day trips; personal travel schedule is self-managed.
  • Working knowledge of IT functions, particularly Operations, IT Service Management, Infrastructure, and Application provisioning and management.
  • Experience delivering high-level briefings and presentations to senior executives and C-suite customers.
  • Proficiency in building ROI and TCO financial models for executives.
  • Comfort building customized PowerPoint slides.
  • In-person onboarding required during the first week at Okta's San Francisco, CA HQ or Chicago office.

Benefits

  • OTE compensation range of $202,000 to $277,000 USD for candidates located in the San Francisco Bay Area.
  • OTE compensation range of $180,000 to $247,000 USD for candidates located in California outside the Bay Area, Colorado, Illinois, New York, and Washington.
