Description

  • Design the target architecture for an Azure-based data platform in line with platform standards.
  • Lead the migration of existing infrastructure to the approved target architecture.
  • Write, structure, and maintain Terraform code for recreating infrastructure.
  • Document and present architecture decisions for enterprise architecture review and approval.
  • Create Jira tickets, define acceptance criteria, and track migration work to completion.
  • Coordinate with DevOps to align specifications with platform standards and operational practices.
  • Plan, execute, and validate workload migrations with the data team.
  • Resolve alignment issues across DevOps, enterprise architecture, and data engineering teams.

Requirements

  • Hands-on cloud engineering or architecture experience with deep Microsoft Azure expertise.
  • Production-grade experience writing and maintaining Terraform infrastructure as code.
  • Experience designing or re-architecting cloud infrastructure for data platforms.
  • Experience leading migrations from legacy or unstandardized infrastructure to a defined target architecture.
  • Strong architecture documentation skills suitable for enterprise review and approval.
  • Experience managing delivery mechanics, including Jira tickets, acceptance criteria, and multi-team workstreams.
  • Fluent English at C1 level for daily communication with a US-based enterprise architecture team.
  • Strong cross-team collaboration skills across DevOps, architecture, and data engineering.
  • Experience with Azure data platform components such as Data Lake, Synapse, Snowflake, or Data Factory (preferred).
  • Experience in regulated or enterprise environments, or in mortgage, lending, or financial services (preferred).
