Description

  • Own the end-to-end AWS enterprise architecture across governance, networking, connectivity, inspection, DNS, and security.
  • Lead the operational team as tech lead through technical direction, design reviews, code reviews, and delivery unblockers.
  • Build CDK stacks, Lambda functions, and agent tooling as part of day-to-day execution.
  • Design and extend agents for intent decomposition, artifact generation, scaffolding, validation, and gate reporting.
  • Author capability instructions and encode repeated corrections into the agent system.
  • Operate within an intent-driven delivery framework with feature-flagged releases and fixed-scope cycles.
  • Help retire a legacy VB6 desktop application by moving functionality into cloud services while maintaining coexistence.
  • Lead platform evaluation and recommend an external digital front architecture for dealers and commercial customers.
  • Design reusable partner-facing patterns including external identity, tenancy, and durable API contracts.
  • Work directly with client IT and security leadership to explain architecture decisions and incorporate constraints into the design.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience and 4+ years of experience in architecture on production systems.
  • Deep experience with serverless application architecture including API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFront, Cognito with SAML federation, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, and X-Ray.
  • Strong AWS CDK experience in TypeScript, with clear opinions about stack boundaries and construct design.
  • Proficiency in Java and TypeScript for both writing and reviewing code.
  • Experience with Java 25, Spring Cloud Function on Lambda, React 19 with TypeScript, and CDK in TypeScript.
  • Experience with REST contract design, versioning, and backward compatibility.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions and OIDC-based cloud authentication.
  • Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, RAG, and agentic frameworks such as Claude Agent SDK, Strands, LangChain, or CrewAI.
  • Experience with tool and MCP integration, context engineering, and large-scale verification of agent output.
  • AWS Bedrock and AgentCore experience is a plus.
  • Experience shipping solutions that had to coexist with an untouched legacy system.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-changing, startup-like environment within a corporate setting.
  • Understanding of Agentic SDLC and how to reduce human intervention through automation.
