Description

  • Do the customer’s operator role for the first 2 to 4 weeks of an engagement to learn the function from the inside.
  • Rebuild business functions from first principles with the operator and Forward Deployed Executive.
  • Ship production GenAI systems, including LLM applications, agentic workflows, retrieval pipelines, and structured-extraction pipelines.
  • Build evaluation harnesses before feature development and define success against business KPIs.
  • Write production code across backend services, data pipelines, and the AI layer.
  • Deploy systems on AWS or other cloud environments in a containerized, observable, and maintainable way.
  • Use and improve Provectus industry blueprints based on field learnings.
  • Work directly with customer operators, engineers, and executives to drive adoption and change management.
  • Own engagement outcomes and align delivery to business unit KPIs.
  • Help shape commitments and solution design before work begins.

Requirements

  • 8+ years building software, with substantial hands-on production code experience.
  • Willingness to spend weeks doing the customer’s operational work before writing code.
  • Ability to learn unfamiliar business domains quickly and fluently.
  • Experience shipping GenAI or LLM systems to production, not just demos or notebooks.
  • Experience building or owning evaluation suites for non-deterministic systems.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals with Python and/or TypeScript proficiency.
  • Cloud-native delivery experience on AWS, including containers, Kubernetes/ECS, IaC, and CI/CD.
  • Ability to communicate credibly with senior stakeholders, including BU heads and CTOs.
  • Comfort with ambiguity and strong ownership in underspecified engagements.
  • Solid AI/ML foundations and understanding of model failure modes.
  • Strong hands-on production experience with Claude Code/Cowork.
  • Fluent English, written and spoken.
  • Prior experience as a founder, CTO, or engineering leader returning to individual contribution is preferred.
  • Deep experience in financial services, insurance, healthcare, or asset management is preferred.
  • Consulting, professional services, or embedded customer-facing delivery experience is preferred.
  • Data platform experience with data lakes, warehouses, streaming, real-time analytics, data mesh, data contracts, governance, and data quality is preferred.
  • MLOps and classical ML experience with PyTorch, SageMaker, or MLflow is preferred.
  • Experience with fine-tuning, distillation, or inference/serving optimization is preferred.
  • Experience with graph databases such as Neo4j or AWS Neptune is preferred.
  • IaC depth with AWS CDK, CloudFormation, or Terraform is preferred.
  • Open-source contributions or public writing on applied AI are preferred.
