Description

  • Own the end-to-end AWS enterprise architecture across governance, networking, connectivity, security, and workload environments.
  • Lead the operational team day to day through technical direction, design reviews, code reviews, and delivery unblockers.
  • Build and maintain CDK stacks, Lambda functions, and agent tooling as part of the architecture.
  • Design and extend agents for intent decomposition, design artifact generation, implementation scaffolding, validation, and gate reporting.
  • Author capability instructions and encode repeatable architectural corrections into agent behavior.
  • Work within an Intent-Driven Framework and support fixed-scope, feature-flagged delivery cycles.
  • Help modernize a legacy VB6 desktop application into cloud services while maintaining coexistence with the existing system.
  • Lead platform evaluation for external digital experiences and define reusable identity, tenancy, and API contract approaches.
  • Represent the architecture to client IT and security leadership and translate their constraints into design changes.
  • Write architecture decision records and revise them as requirements evolve.

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in software engineering with architecture responsibility on production systems.
  • Deep experience with serverless application architecture, including API Gateway, Lambda, CloudFront, Cognito with SAML federation, Secrets Manager, CloudWatch, and X-Ray.
  • Strong AWS CDK experience in TypeScript, with clear opinions on stack boundaries and construct design.
  • No console provisioning and no drift; infrastructure must be managed exclusively as code.
  • Ability to write and review Java and TypeScript code.
  • Experience with Java 25, Spring Cloud Function on Lambda, React 19 with TypeScript, and CDK in TypeScript.
  • Experience designing REST contracts, versioning APIs, and maintaining backward compatibility.
  • Experience with GitHub Actions and OIDC-based cloud authentication.
  • Hands-on experience with prompt engineering, RAG, and agentic frameworks such as Claude Agent SDK, Strands, LangChain, or CrewAI.
  • Experience with tool and MCP integration, context engineering, and large-scale verification of agent output.
  • AWS Bedrock and AgentCore experience is a plus.
  • Experience shipping solutions that must coexist with legacy systems that cannot be modified.
  • Comfort working in a fast-changing, startup-like environment.
  • Understanding of Agentic SDLC and how to reduce human intervention through automation.
