Description

  • Develop and sustain high-level relationships with clients, leaders, and stakeholders as a trusted consultant.
  • Understand clients’ customers, brands, competition, and business challenges to support account growth.
  • Drive new business development and upsell appropriate products and services to expand the portfolio.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to analyze, mitigate, and resolve client business and service issues.
  • Manage the full sales process, including presentations, proposals, contract negotiations, and closing.
  • Track account management administration, including agreements, service-level agreements, renewals, and overage reports.
  • Monitor and report on client sales performance analytics against projected growth targets.
  • Stay current on Cision products, technology developments, industry trends, and best practices to improve service delivery.
  • Liaise with industry associations and network to identify new business opportunities.
  • Manage day-to-day sales development operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent, in business administration, communications, marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • 3–5 years of new business tech sales experience required.
  • Experience in a global media distribution organization is a strong asset.
  • Working knowledge and proven success with SaaS sales and/or cloud methodology required.
  • Demonstrated success attaining sales targets and building a sales pipeline.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM software, including reporting capabilities.
  • Ability to build relationships and persuade or influence clients, leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with current sales methodologies, tools, best practices, and processes.
  • Experience in a role involving sales performance analytics and account management is implied.
