Description

  • Build and improve customer-facing registries, APIs, and artifact-serving systems.
  • Implement projects from technical design through testing, rollout, monitoring, and iteration.
  • Develop and operate Go backend services supporting libraries, containers, images, APKs, and other artifacts.
  • Improve production-system scalability, reliability, observability, performance, and load testing.
  • Participate in decisions about service boundaries, APIs, data flows, and operational patterns.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product teams to deliver a cohesive repository experience.
  • Review code, share knowledge, and contribute to a supportive engineering culture.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues affecting customer-facing systems.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of software development experience, including backend or infrastructure work.
  • Experience with Go, or strong programming experience in another language with the ability to learn Go quickly.
  • Experience taking software projects from implementation through testing and release.
  • Interest in package registries, artifact repositories, APIs, developer platforms, or similar backend infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with testing, code review, debugging, and version control.
  • Exposure to deploying or operating production services, or strong interest in developing those skills.
  • Systems-oriented mindset, curiosity, clear communication, and collaborative approach in a remote environment.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure or Terraform is helpful but not required.
  • Preferred: 5+ years building and operating production backend or infrastructure systems.
  • Preferred: Experience owning high-scale backend projects from design through production operation, with strong reliability, observability, performance, security, and operational judgment.
