Description

  • Build and improve customer-facing registries, APIs, and artifact-serving systems.
  • Implement projects from technical design through testing, rollout, monitoring, and iteration.
  • Develop and operate Go backend services supporting libraries and future artifact types such as containers and APKs.
  • Improve scalability, reliability, observability, performance, and load testing for production systems.
  • Participate in decisions about service boundaries, APIs, data flows, and operational patterns.
  • Collaborate with engineering and product partners on the repository experience.
  • Review code, share knowledge, and contribute to a supportive engineering team.
  • Investigate and resolve production issues.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of software development experience, including backend or infrastructure work.
  • Experience with Go or strong programming experience in another language with the ability to learn Go quickly.
  • Experience taking software projects from implementation through testing and release.
  • Interest in package registries, artifact repositories, APIs, developer platforms, or similar backend infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with testing, code review, debugging, and version control.
  • Production deployment or operations experience, or strong interest in developing these skills.
  • Familiarity with cloud infrastructure or Terraform is helpful but not required.
  • Systems-oriented mindset, curiosity, clear communication, and collaborative remote-work skills.
  • Preferred: 5+ years building and operating production backend or infrastructure systems.
  • Preferred: Experience with production ownership, high-scale serving systems, reliability, observability, performance, security, and infrastructure as code.
