Description

Own the technical strategy for scaling the Libraries Platform across multiple ecosystems such as .NET, Go, and Rust.
Design ecosystem-agnostic architecture for package indexing, build orchestration, and metadata services.
Lead end-to-end CVE remediation automation from detection through patching, rebuilds, verification, and release.
Set direction for agentic and AI-driven patch generation, including the guardrails needed for safe deployment.
Own platform-wide technical direction across the package index, build and packaging pipelines, registry mirrors, and orchestration tooling.
Partner with ecosystem, platform, delivery, sustaining, and security teams to align roadmap priorities and risk decisions.
Mentor Staff and Senior Engineers and drive design reviews, docs, and RFCs.
Define service-level objectives for the remediation pipeline and lead incident response and postmortems.
Investigate and resolve toolchain, compiler, and dependency-resolution issues for new ecosystems when needed.

Requirements

12+ years of experience designing, building, and operating infrastructure for language ecosystems or developer platforms.
Principal-level scope with experience setting technical direction across multiple teams.
Direct experience extending platform support for a new language ecosystem or toolchain, ideally .NET/NuGet, Go modules, or Rust/Cargo.
Strong proficiency in Go.
Experience automating manual remediation workflows and deciding where human checkpoints are still required.
Deep background in CI/CD, agentic pipelines, cloud-native infrastructure, and IaC.
Experience with containers (Docker/OCI, Kubernetes), Terraform, and pipeline tooling such as GitHub Actions, Argo, Tekton, or equivalents.
Ability to diagnose and resolve deep toolchain, compiler, and packaging failures across multiple ecosystems.
Excellent written communication in a remote, distributed environment.
Principal ownership mindset with comfort making ecosystem-generalization decisions under incomplete information.
Nice to have: software supply chain security experience including SLSA, SBOMs, sigstore, provenance, attestations, and secure-by-default packaging.
Nice to have: experience with Linux distributions, packaging, and reproducible build systems such as Alpine, Wolfi, Debian, Bazel, CMake, and Ninja.
Nice to have: familiarity with AI/ML packaging and infrastructure such as PyTorch and TensorFlow in cloud/Kubernetes environments.
Nice to have: experience leading a platform through a major increase in automation maturity.

Base salary range of $229,000 to $258,000 USD.
