Description

Own the technical strategy for scaling the Libraries Platform across multiple language ecosystems.
Design architecture for onboarding new ecosystems such as .NET, Go, and Rust without duplicating core platform services.
Drive end-to-end automation of CVE remediation from detection through patching, rebuilds, verification, and release.
Set direction for AI-assisted patch generation and define safety guardrails for machine-generated fixes.
Lead platform-wide decisions across package indexing, build orchestration, registry mirrors, and related tooling.
Partner with Ecosystem, Platform, Delivery, Sustaining, and Security teams to align roadmap and risk decisions.
Mentor Staff and Senior Engineers and lead architecture reviews, RFCs, and documentation efforts.
Own platform reliability and scalability, including SLOs, incident response, and postmortems.
Troubleshoot complex toolchain, compiler, and dependency-resolution issues when needed.
Shape engineering culture and help decide build-vs-buy and sequencing choices for new ecosystem support.

Requirements

12+ years of experience designing, building, and operating infrastructure for language ecosystems or developer platforms.
Demonstrated Principal-level scope setting technical direction across multiple teams.
Direct experience onboarding or extending support for a language ecosystem into an existing platform.
Ideal experience with .NET/NuGet, Go modules, or Rust/Cargo.
Strong proficiency in Go.
Proven success automating manual remediation workflows.
Deep background in CI/CD, agentic pipelines, cloud-native infrastructure, and infrastructure as code.
Experience with containers (Docker/OCI, Kubernetes), Terraform, and tools such as GitHub Actions, Argo, or Tekton.
Ability to diagnose and resolve deep toolchain, compiler, and packaging failures across ecosystems.
Excellent written communication in a remote, distributed environment.
Preferred background in software supply chain security, including SLSA, SBOMs, sigstore, provenance, and attestations.
Preferred experience with Linux distributions, packaging, and reproducible build systems such as Alpine, Wolfi, Debian, Bazel, CMake, or Ninja.
Preferred familiarity with AI/ML packaging and infrastructure in cloud/Kubernetes environments.
Preferred experience leading a platform through a major increase in automation maturity.
