Description

  • Own and scale employee lifecycle processes, including onboarding, offboarding, compliance training, promotions, and job changes.
  • Lead and develop the People Operations team.
  • Improve the visibility and accessibility of HR Operations for employees.
  • Lead the operational setup of new international legal entities, including the UK, Canada, Germany, and future countries.
  • Maintain HR operations and compliance across all countries where Chainguard operates.
  • Partner with Finance and Legal on international compliance, payroll, and employment requirements.
  • Manage and expand the Employer of Record partnership supporting remote employees across approximately 19 countries.
  • Build scalable People Operations processes, templates, and employee resources.
  • Use AI to improve People Operations efficiency and the employee experience.

Requirements

  • 8–10+ years of HR or People Operations experience, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience leading an HRIS implementation, migration, or major optimization using Workday, Rippling, ADP, or a similar platform.
  • Experience owning the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, offboarding, organizational changes, data integrity, and process design.
  • Experience managing HR compliance operations, including I-9s, leave administration, policies, and audits.
  • Experience building or scaling People Operations in a high-growth SaaS or startup environment.
  • International HR experience is required, particularly across EMEA; experience in Japan, Singapore, or South America is preferred.
  • Direct experience opening international entities and establishing HR compliance and operations in new countries.
  • Experience managing or partnering with an Employer of Record provider.
  • Strong team leadership, people development, and collaborative problem-solving skills.
  • Comfort operating in ambiguity and creating processes where none exist.

  • Base salary range of $204,000–$240,000 USD.
